The Gunpowder Golf Preservation Society A substantial number of citizens, dissatisfied with the abrupt and arbitrary closing of Baltimore County’s Gunpowder Falls Golf Course (formerly Mt.Vista), have agreed to form a volunteer committee dedicated to reopening the golf course. The committee is called the Gunpowder Preservation Golf Society and is open to anyone, golfers and non-golfers, who may have inputs in assisting to reopen the golf course. The group does not oppose additional responsible recreation facilities. Present plans are to have a proposal or a set of proposals ready to present Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith by the early fall.
